Artist Maja Ljubotina Antonescu’s Website: Rromani

Maja Ljubotina Antonescu is an artist, dancer, costume
designer and Roma Rights Activist.
Her works have been exhibited in Trstenik and Belgrade
during the International Art Camp and opened the first Roma Gallery in
Belgrade. There will be an exhibition in Romano Chon that will be in Ljubljana
in April 2012.
Maja sells her miniature paintings at Zlati Zob.
The honor to open the first » Roma Art Gallery » in
space of Museum of Rromani Culture in Belgrade came to Maja Ljubotina
Antonescu.Graduated University for
Applied Art and Design, FPUD,

Maja’s Thesis at Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology
department in University of Ljubljana was The Culture of Clothing and Dances
among Roma people in Srbija – Out of this she worked with cultural institutions
in Serbia. As painter and costume designer she has collaborated with Slovenian and Serbian theaters including the
Slovenian National Opera and Ballet, Slovenian National Television RTVSLO,
Romani Culture Festivals in France, Norway etc. Most recent exhibits include International Art Camp in Trstenik Exhibition
which marked the opening of new Rromani Cultural and Informative center RIKOC
and NOMAD ART organized by the Association of Rromani Fine Artists od Serbia
«LUR« Her art work is now exhibited at the Slovenian Ethnographic Museum.
