UN Committee on the Rights of the Child publishes
findings on Eritrea, Mexico, Ghana, Honduras, Ethiopia, Netherlands, Lao PDR
and Israel
GENEVA (10 June 2015) – The UN Committee on the Rights of
the Child has published its findings on the countries it examined during its
latest session. The States listed below were reviewed under either one or a
combination of the following: the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC),
the Optional Protocol on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography
(OPSC) and the Optional Protocol on the involvement of children in armed
conflict (OPAC).
Eritrea (CRC), Mexico (CRC), Ghana (CRC), Honduras (CRC,
OPAC, OPSC), Ethiopia (CRC), Netherlands (CRC, OPAC), Lao PDR (OPAC, OPSC) and
Israel (OPSC).
The findings, officially termed concluding observations,
contain positive aspects of the respective State’s implementation of the
Convention and the Optional Protocols, and also main matters of concern and
recommendations.
