Interesi deteta moraju imati prednost nad drugim važnim
državnim ciljevima, ocenili su zaštitnik građana Saša Janković i zamenica
zaštitnika građana za prava deteta i rodnu ravnopravnost Gordana Stevanović
povodom Svetskog dana deteta, 20. novembra. Zaštitnik građana ove godine je
uputio preko 180 preporuka u cilju otklanjanja propusta u zaštiti dece od
nasilja i zaštiti prava deteta.
Janković i Stevanović čestitajući deci njihov praznik
usluge socijalne i zdravstvene zaštite.
Iako je u proteklim godinama unapređen zakonodavni okvir
zlostavljanja, zanemarivanja i iskorišćavanja, nizak nivo participacije deteta,
nedovoljno dostupna zdravstvena i socijalna zaštita, nedovoljno kvalitetno
obrazovanje i visok stepen nasilja u školama, kao i brojna kršenja prava deteta
na dostojanstvo i privatnost u medijskom izveštavanju.
Mere štednje uvedene radi ekonomskog oporavka zemlje

The interests of the child must take precedence over
other important state goals, assess the Ombudsman Saša Janković and the Deputy
Ombudsman for children's rights and gender equality Gordana Stevanovic on the
occasion of Universal Children's Day, November 20. The Ombudsman this year sent
more than 180 recommendations to eliminate vulnerabilities in the protection of
children from violence and protection of children's rights.
Jankovic and Stevanović congratulated children on their
holiday "to remind the state authorities and social organizations to
exercise and protect the rights of the child can not be compromise and that the
best interests of the child must take precedence over other important national
goals," says the statement of the Ombudsman.
The Ombudsman has so far examined more than 3,000
complaints in the field of child rights, public authorities sent the 608
recommendations that were made in almost 80% of cases.
This year, the Ombudsman has sent more than 180
recommendations to eliminate vulnerabilities in the protection of children from
violence and protection of children's rights to privacy, dignity, quality
education and social services and health care.
Although in recent years promoted the legislative
framework of relevance for the implementation and protection of children's
rights, state rights of the child and today marks an underdeveloped system of
prevention and protection of children from violence, abuse, neglect and
exploitation, the low level of participation of the child, lack of accessible
health and social care , lack of quality education and a high level of violence
in schools, as well as numerous violations of children's rights to dignity and
privacy in media reporting.
Austerity measures introduced to economic recovery led to
a reversal of some services for children and compounded the situation of
children and families as well as children in need of support, reminiscent of
the Ombudsman.
